Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro get root
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Xperia X10 Mini Pro are two intriguing little devices for sure. They’re not your typical huge-screened Android superphones, and it seems like their number one feature is pocketability.
Sony Ericsson haven’t released any sales numbers yet, but they are slowly introducing these devices in many markets and it is conceivable that people who for one reason or another despise the current Android trend of ‘who can make the biggest-screened phone” will find these two offerings very compelling indeed.
And now, for those interested in the X10 Mini and the X10 Mini Pro, there’s good news. A procedure for gaining root access has been released, and you can find it here. There’s an accompanying forum thread here, where you can get help or post your feedback.
So if you’re the kind of person who can’t live with an un-rooted Android device, but always thought of buying one of Sony Ericsson’s little smartphones, you should be very happy just about now.
